Source inspections are detailed to meet a specific need and may include:

• Review of mill material test report
• Review of conformity material test report
• Review of weld procedure specifications and procedure qualification records (WPS/QPR)
• Witness the qualification test as-run, witness the mechanical test
• Witness the welder qualifications
• Examination of edge preparation, fit-up, visual inspection, NDE inspection and dimensional
• attributes
• Witness the hydrostatic and pneumatic test.
• Witnessing factory acceptance tests (FAT)
• Inspection of coatings
• Verification of quantities shipped, including proper packing and identification marking
